Questions and Answers

Am I a candidate for Dr. Roadhouse’s treatments?
Not all patients will be accepted into our program. After a thorough case history, neurological exam and review of radiology (MRI, CT, etc.) Dr. Roadhouse will determine if you are a candidate for this breakthrough treatment protocol for chronic pain.

Why do you use Oxygen Therapy?
Your brain and nervous system need two things to survive: Fuel and Activation. Fuel comes in the form of oxygen and glucose. As we age our ability to use oxygen decreases. Oxygen therapy will help you get better faster!

Are your treatments safe?
Yes, extremely safe and painless. Unlike spinal surgery, there is no down time, risk of bleeding, or risk of infection.

I go to a chiropractor now, what is the difference?
Dr. Roadhouse is a board certified chiropractor. Out of 70,000 chiropractors in the U.S., less than 500 are practicing Brain Based Therapy. Dr. Roadhouse has patients that travel to Tulsa for this unique treatment.

What makes Dr. Roadhouse’s Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression different from treatments by other doctors?

Dr. Roadhouse is the only chiropractor in the Tulsa area offering NSSD, Flexion Distraction Maneuver, Oxygen, Cerebellar Activation, Brain Based Therapy, and Neuro-Metabolic Therapy. Compared to traction or inversion tables (which traction out the entire spine) NSSD can more specifically target the disc that needs attention. In addition, Dr. Roadhouse tests for other factors that may be contributing to patient’s pain and other symptoms. If you have tried NSSD elsewhere only to have the symptoms return, you cerebellum could be the culprit. Last, but not least, Dr. Roadhouse’s office stands out with our level of expertise, our state-of-the-art facility, and friendly, caring, professional staff.

Do I need to stop taking my medications?
Please be advised that Dr. Roadhouse will never tell you to stop taking your medications. That’s called practicing medicine without a license. As your symptoms improve during the course of care, Dr. Roadhouse will recommend that you return to your physician to adjust medication levels.

Will my insurance cover the treatments?
Every insurance policy is different and the staff at Dr. Roadhouse’s office will check on your insurance coverage. We will advise you of any coverage or limitations of coverage before any care is initiated.

How much do your treatments costs?
It varies due to individual patient findings. After a thorough review of your case, Dr. Roadhouse will determine the course of care for your specific case.
